BREAKING: US carries out second airstrikes on ISIS targets in Nigeria

President Donald Trump announced this evening that the US military has conducted airstrikes against ISIS-linked targets in Nigeria, confirming earlier unverified reports referenced by Nigerian officials.

According to Trump, the operation was carried out by US Africa Command at the request of the Nigerian government and resulted in the deaths of multiple ISIS-affiliated terrorists.

The strikes reportedly targeted ISIS elements operating in Sokoto State, an area that has seen increased terrorist activity linked to Islamic State’s West Africa networks. Nigerian authorities have not yet released operational details, but the announcement underscores deepening military cooperation between Washington and Abuja in counterterrorism efforts across West Africa.
