“Blessed are you! O brave heroes, I convey to you the blessings of His Honor [PA] President [Mahmoud Abbas] and the blessings of the Fatah leadership. We are a symbol of the national unity.”
PLO Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs Director and PNEEI Board of Trustees member (Palestinian National Economic Empowerment Institution) Raed Abu Al-Humus: “Blessed are you! O brave heroes, I convey to you the blessings of His Honor [PA] President [Mahmoud Abbas] and the blessings of the Fatah leadership. We are a symbol of the national unity… We hoped that among us would be the icon of the Palestinian people, leader Marwan Barghouti, and Hassan Salameh, and Ahmad Sa’adat (i.e., all terrorists). We promise you on behalf of the [PLO] Commission of Prisoners’ [Affairs] and the [PA-funded] Prisoners’ Club that we will remain loyal to our covenant with the Martyrs, the wounded, and the prisoners, and we will fight for you. Blessed are you for your freedom, heroes!”
