French Senator Nathalie Goulet says EU funds tied institutions under the banner of diversity.
French Senator Nathalie Goulet warned that Europe is financing its own enemies by continuing to fund institutions linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, calling for an immediate halt to such support.
In a January 13, 2026 interview on Sky News Arabia, Goulet said that in the name of diversity and tolerance, European institutions have provided financial backing to organizations connected to Islamist networks hostile to European values. She stated that groups tied to the Muslim Brotherhood received as much as €10 million to distribute copies of the Quran across Europe. As an example, Goulet showed a French-language Quran that has been circulated on the continent, featuring an image of Napoleon Bonaparte reading the Quran on its cover.
Goulet stressed that this funding is not neutral cultural outreach but part of an ideological project, warning that Europe cannot claim to fight extremism while simultaneously subsidizing organizations associated with Islamist political movements. She emphasized that any institution with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood must be fully cut off from European public funds.
