IDF soldier killed in grenade explosion in the northern Gaza Strip

The Military Police Investigation Unit is looking into the circumstances of the incident

An Israel Defense Forces soldier was killed on late Saturday when a grenade exploded in the northern Gaza Strip, the military announced Sunday morning.

The Military Police launched a probe into the deadly incident, which did not appear to be combat-related.

The soldier’s family has been notified.
