A writer’s festival in Adelaide dropped Dr. Randa Abdel-Fattah after the Bondi massacre, citing “cultural sensitivity.” The reason was quickly deleted.

Here’s what that meant: on October 7, while Hamas terrorists were still inside Israel, she mocked Nova festivalgoers fleeing for their lives.

The next day, she used an image of the Hamas paragliders who carried out the massacre as her cover photo.

Other writers rallied to her defense. They blamed “Zionists,” boycotted the festival, and forced the entire event to be canceled.

The festival then walked back its statement and reinvited her for next year.

The question isn’t why she was removed. It’s why she was invited at all.
