Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu participated today (Monday) in a conference of the Forum of Senior IDF Reserve Commanders, together with Defense Minister Israel Katz and Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir.
The Prime Minister spoke before the conference participants and answered questions from the reserve officers.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: "We have not only changed the Middle East, we have changed ourselves. There is no more containment. There is initiative and proactivity all the time. And we do this because we know who you are, and we know what an amazing army we have. Not only the regular army, which everyone said was the 'TikTok generation' and it is now clear that it is not, but our reserve army, which again stood up contrary to everything the enemy thought. They were wrong. They were wrong about us, they were wrong about you.
The reserve system is a fundamental component. It is a core component. We need a large and strong army, and also a smart one. We will increase the regular service and we will greatly strengthen the reserve service and also strengthen the families, because today the approach is very simple - there is no such thing as a reserve soldier or reserve commander who is a separate unit and the family is on the side. It is one unit."
