Iranians tried kidnapping former Israeli defense minister – report

Hebrew-language Israel Hayom has reported that among those Iran targeted was Moshe (Boogie) Ayalon, who served as IDF chief of staff from 2002 to 2005 and as Israel’s defense minister from 2013 to 2016.
Most recently, Ya’alon, 71, entered the business world. In November, he was appointed as chairman of Synaptech, a new Israeli-owned venture capital fund based in the United Arab Emirates.
