Iran claims that a "senior Mossad spy" who was involved in the assassination of senior Revolutionary Guards officer Hassan Siad Khodai, deputy commander of Unit 840, who was killed in Tehran in May 2022, was executed.
Additional details about Mohsen Langrenshin's activities according to Iranian sources:
Mohsen began working for the Mossad in December 2020, after undergoing specialized training. Over the course of about two years, he maintained close operational ties with Mossad collection officers and local elements who worked for them, and provided them with extensive assistance that included logistics, equipment, and vehicles.
Among his activities: assisting with logistics, coordinating, and supervising the scene of the incident where Hassan Siad Khodai was assassinated in Tehran, transferring funds from Mossad elements to operational elements inside Iran, purchasing communications equipment and operational vehicles, and renting hideout apartments in several districts across the country. In addition, he purchased a motorcycle that was used to track Khodai, and reported his location at the scene of the assassination.
Mohsen reportedly maintained contacts with Mossad officers in Georgia and Nepal, where he received missions from them. During his activities, he provided collaborators in Iran with unregistered SIM cards (Tukman), cell phones, and mobile routers.
According to reports, after a lengthy covert investigation by the Iranian Intelligence Ministry, Mohsen was arrested along with the support infrastructure around him. During the investigation and trial, he confessed in detail to all his actions.
