At dawn on Thursday, Iranian reinforcements arrived at military positions of the Iranian-backed militias in Deir ez-Zor, in eastern Syria, after entering from Iraq.
The Iranian reinforcements come after an unidentified aircraft bombed on October 9 a military position of the Quds Force, subordinate to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The pro-Iranian militias brought with them more than eight cargo vehicles through the "train" border crossing after arriving from Iraqi territory.
The convoy included logistical materials and ammunition, in addition to two vehicles driven by military personnel in civilian clothes.
The vehicles entered military positions of the Quds Force in the city of al-Bukhamal, and transferred militants who came from the territory of Iraq to a military post near the al-Shifaa hospital in the town of al-Mayadeen in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor district.
