Putin: "Zelenskyy is not a Jew, he is a shame for the Jewish people"

Russian President Putin derided Ukrainian President Zelenskyy in a press conference, claiming Zelenskyy is not even Jewish.

Russian President Putin participated today (Friday) in the St. Petersburg Economic Forum.

Putin was asked why he continues to call Zelenskyy a "Nazi": "I have many Jewish friends since childhood. They say Zelenskyy is not Jewish, they say he is a shame to the Jewish people."

President Putin is correct. In an interview last year, Zelenskyy was quoted as saying, that being Jewish was one of his faults. He has since converted out of Judaism.
