SURPRISE? Iran statement after trilateral meeting in Iraq

The Iranian Foreign Minister's remarks at the end of a trilateral meeting in Iraq, which was also attended by the Iraqi and Syrian foreign ministers:

- We held consultations on the situation in Syria and there was a consensus of views regarding the seriousness of the terrorist threat in Syria.

- The message of today's trilateral meeting is to support the Syrian government and people in the fight against the terrorist groups that carry out attacks as part of an American-Zionist conspiracy.

- The government, people and army in Syria are dealing with terrorism, and we support them in this.
