French lawmaker to hold Paris rally against Palestinian state recognition

French lawmaker Caroline Yadan, a member of the National Assembly representing the 8th constituency (which includes Israel and several other countries), is organizing a major rally in Paris on September 17. The demonstration will oppose any unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state.

According to a recent poll conducted in France just weeks ago, 78% of the French public expressed opposition to such a move, underscoring the political sensitivity of the issue ahead of the rally.
