WATCH: Islamic scholar: Dallas church to become Islamic center
Colorado Islamic scholar Karim Abu Zaid discussed his polygamous marriage to two wives during a June 16 podcast appearance, saying that such a marriage requires “patience and sacrifice” because the women compete with one another.
Abu Zaid also spoke about a former Evangelical church in Richardson, near Dallas, that was recently purchased and is being converted into an Islamic complex.
He said the site will include a seminary to train Muslims in dawah techniques aimed at converting Christians and Jews to Islam.
According to Abu Zaid, the project still requires additional construction before it can open — including the removal of crosses and baptismal pools from the church building.
