Among the so-called “Tuckerites,” followers and imitators of figures like Tucker Carlson, a claim has taken root: that Israel is the reason America is hated around the world, and that cutting ties with Jerusalem would somehow restore global goodwill toward Washington.

This is backward.

The world does not hate America because of Israel. The world hates America for what it represents — power, independence, sovereignty, and Western values. Israel is hated for the exact same reasons, compounded by one additional fact: it is the only Jewish state in the world.
