An overnight joint IDF–Shin Bet operation south of Jenin located and killed Sultan al-Ghani, who murdered Israeli citizen Gideon Peri with a hammer before stealing his weapon and fleeing.
IDF: This morning, the circle was closed with all the terrorists responsible for the murder of Israeli civilians in Judea and Samaria: Duvdevan and Shin Bet fighters eliminated the terrorist who carried out the attack in the Brown Industrial Zone in a joint operation south of the city of Jenin in the Menashe Brigade.
Duvdevan fighters and Shin Bet forces recently eliminated the terrorist Sultan al-Ghani, who carried out the attack during which he attacked and murdered the late Gideon Perry with a hammer, snatched his gun and his vehicle, and fled.
In an operation that lasted throughout the night, Duvdevan unit fighters, a paratrooper patrol, and Shin Bet forces arrested five terrorist accomplices.
Afterwards, the forces surrounded the building where the terrorist was holed up, and after an exchange of fire, the fighters eliminated the terrorist.
After conducting searches in the building, the forces located "Carlo" type weapons, an M16, a charge, and cartridges with ammunition.
Since he fled after the attack on August 18, 2024, the Shin Bet and the IDF have conducted a continuous intelligence effort until the terrorist was eliminated.
The security forces continue to operate in broad efforts to thwart terrorism against anyone who harms or attempts to harm Israeli citizens and security forces.
