The Iran-backed Houthi group in Yemen is shifting tactics against Israel, relying less on missile attacks and increasingly on drones.
IRAN INTERNATIONAL -- Security analysts told Iran International that smuggling of key missile components from Tehran has dwindled amid successful maritime interceptions, forcing the militia to ration its arsenal.
Although the Houthis possess large stockpiles, experts note they are conserving missiles for the long term, supplementing them with Iranian cluster munitions to stretch supplies.
Drones, which can be assembled locally with Iranian guidance, now serve as the group’s main offensive weapon, launching almost daily attacks against Israel while preserving their more complex missile systems.
