Regarding the possibility of implementing the ultimatum that US President Donald Trump has given Iran, senior security officials say that Tehran does not intend to raise a white flag, and that it is determined to go all the way with Trump, even at a heavy economic cost.
Revolutionary Guard commanders believe that the 15 conditions set by Trump are a humiliating surrender document, and therefore are not willing to see it even as a basis for negotiations. In their assessment, if Trump and Israel harm Iran's national infrastructure, they could achieve the opposite result: internal unification of Iranian citizens around the regime.
According to security officials, the Revolutionary Guards have enough ballistic missiles and drones to attack Israel and the Gulf states with force. At the same time, they may try to close the Bab al-Mandab Strait through the Houthis in Yemen, in order to increase the chaos in the global economy. They also noted that Iran is currently presenting a clear example of a country that is reshaping the concept of survival – not just as a temporary defensive response, but as a comprehensive strategy that dictates its conduct at home and abroad.
In the current military conflict, which is a continuation of the 12-Day War in June 2025, the Iranian regime is not striving for a military victory in the classic sense. For it, every day of survival, every government system that continues to operate and every leadership that manages to function under pressure – are a victory in themselves.
