Israeli nonprofit organization that coordinates living kidney donations says it has set a Guinness World Record by gathering about 1,200 kidney donors in a single location
The event, held at Jerusalem’s International Convention Center, was organized by Matnat Chaim, which has facilitated more than 2,000 kidney donations nationwide.
Organizers said all past donors were invited, with roughly 1,200 attending the gathering that was documented and submitted as a record claim to Guinness World Records.
The event honored the late Rabbi Yeshayahu Heber, who founded the organization and died during the COVID-19 pandemic. His widow, Rachel Heber, now chairs Matnat Chaim and continues overseeing its work.
