An Arabic-language report by SyriaTV says the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have reached an understanding that will stop military operations and reorganize security control across parts of northeastern Syria.
According to sources cited in the report, the deal provides for the deployment of Syrian Interior Ministry internal security forces inside major urban centers and vital areas—including Hasakah and Qamishli—to maintain public order. Under the arrangement, SDF units will remain in villages and in their current deployment zones, while all military activity along existing front lines will cease.
The report adds that mechanisms will begin for integrating SDF personnel into Syrian state institutions, within a framework whose details are expected to be published later. Implementation is set to begin within two days.
Notably, this is described as an “agreement within an agreement,” as the sides have already been under a ceasefire since the 24th of the month.
