A Hezbollah assassination team reportedly reached the floor below the Miami apartment of Yair Netanyahu, son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, before Israeli security thwarted the plot.
According to a report aired by i24NEWS, the attempted assassination took place following the elimination of Iran’s former supreme leader, Ali Khamenei. The cell allegedly entered the United States and advanced to the floor directly below the residence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s son.
Col. (res.) Ronen Cohen, chairman of Israel’s advisory committee for protecting public figures, said the Shin Bet stopped the operation at the last moment. The report did not explain whether US agencies participated or whether suspects were arrested.
Neither the Shin Bet nor US authorities have publicly released a detailed statement confirming the reported incident.
