In the central unit of the Emekim division, an investigation was conducted in recent weeks regarding the collection of protection money from a businessman by members of a cell, residents of the Judea and Samaria Area, and the north.
Yesterday, with the transition to an open investigation, special forces operated at several targets simultaneously and carried out the arrest of several individuals involved in the affair.
YAMAM fighters operated in the city of Jenin in the Judea and Samaria Area and arrested a resident of the area (30). In parallel, additional special forces operated in northern Israel, including the undercover unit of the Border Guard's tactical brigade, and arrested three additional suspects (Ein Mahil, Akko).
This morning, Northern District police officers arrested a fifth suspect (Umm al-Fahm).
