"Only the Husband makes decisions in the family – girls must learn this from a young age"
In his October 3, 2025 Friday sermon, streamed live on his YouTube channel, North Carolina Islamic scholar Abdullah Khadra said that women must obey their husbands.
He stated that one of the “main problems” with women today is that they want to be just like men, but Allah made the husband the leader of his family. Khadra admonished women who feel they must make decisions within the family, saying the husband is the caretaker and decision maker.
He added that while a husband can consult with his wife, ultimately the decision is his, and husbands do not always have to ask or discuss everything with their wives.
