U.S. forces struck a narco-terror vessel in the Eastern Pacific, killing two operatives
The US military conducted a strike against another alleged drug-trafficking boat in the eastern Pacific Ocean on Friday, killing two people with one survivor, according to US Southern Command.
“On Jan. 23, at the direction of @SecWar Pete Hegseth, Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations,” SOUTHCOM wrote on X.
The Coast Guard said in a statement that it was notified by SOUTHCOM and is coordinating search and rescue operations for the survivor. The survivor was later rescued.
