Houthis seek new prime minister after Rahwi’s killing
The Yemeni channel Al-Jumhuriya reported that Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi is trying to persuade figures from southern Yemen to accept the role of prime minister in his unrecognized government in Sana’a.

After the assassination of the Houthis’ previous prime minister, Ahmed al-Rahwi — a former southern official who had switched sides — Mohammed Moftah, one of his deputies, was appointed as interim premier.
Now the Houthis appear to be seeking a candidate who could provide a semblance of international legitimacy, even though real power remains concentrated with Abdul-Malik and his inner circle.
