In a November 14, 2025 lecture posted by the Chicago-based organization Men of the Ummah and the Noon Islamic Center, Islamic scholar Mohammad Nusairat declared that Islam is not meant to coexist with other religions.
He insisted that “Islam is raised high, and nothing is raised above Islam,” and that Islam did not come to be one of several valid faiths but rather to correct other religions entirely.
Nusairat said that Islam’s purpose is to “remove the oppression of all those religions,” arguing that no other faith contains true justice, true worship, or true guidance. According to him, “Islam is the only truth, and it is the only way to justice.”
He lamented that Muslims today do not emphasize this “doctrinal concept” strongly enough and claimed that the idea of religious coexistence contradicts Islam’s true ideological mission.
The organizations that posted the video have hosted multiple speakers associated with Hizb ut-Tahrir, a radical movement that rejects democracy and openly advocates replacing world governments with an Islamic caliphate.
