In a continuation of the anti-terror campaign “Operation Wave Breaker,” forces from the IDF, the Shin Bet and the Border Police overnight arrested nine suspected terrorists throughout Judea and Samaria.
Of these, six wanted men were captured in the area of the Binyamin and Efraim brigades.
During the operation in the village of Thulith, the forces located and confiscated two weapons.
In the city of Ramallah, the fighters located and confiscated thousands of shekels thought to be intended to pay for further terrorist activities.
In the city of Tulkarm, the fighters located and confiscated a gun.
During the operation in the village of Qabatiya, the forces fired at armed men who first engaged in what was described as massive fire against them. In addition, a violent disturbance took place there, during which suspects threw Molotov cocktails at the fighters. The forces responded by shooting at a suspect who threw a Molotov cocktail at them and they detected a hit.
The wanted persons who were arrested and the means of warfare that were confiscated were transferred to the security forces for further treatment.
No casualties were reported to Israeli forces.
In an ongoing year-long sweep against terror in Judea and Samaria, the Israel Defense Forces have thwarted 500 terror attacks and arrested more than 2,500 suspects. Operation Wave Breaker was launched following a surge of Palestinian terror attacks that began in the spring of 2022 around the beginning of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
Nineteen people were killed in those attacks.
