Egyptian researcher Dalia Ziada: “Israel fights for all of us – and the Egyptian regime is trying to silence me”
Dalia Ziada, a fellow at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, is exposing the real players in the Middle East peace struggle – and the dangers that come from within. “Israel is not the enemy,” she says. “The enemy is Hamas, which attacks Muslims and Christians in Sinai, not just Israelis.”
She recalls a rare moment of unity in 2015, when Egyptian and Israeli forces cooperated to defeat ISIS terrorists in Sinai: “Thanks to Israel’s help, we got rid of them.”
Ziada claims that unlike the Abraham Accords, the peace treaty with Egypt was never truly genuine. “Egypt’s military and intelligence still view Israel as the enemy,” she says.
