“They have not yet absorbed what happened, but everything remains open. Everything can still be overturned,” Ben Menachem said while analyzing Arab reactions to the emerging agreement.

According to him, President Donald Trump made two critical mistakes in his handling of the Iranian regime. Tehran, he argues, has not abandoned its strategic objectives and is merely attempting to buy more time.

“The Iranians are simply trying to gain additional time,” he said. “They believe that through their conduct they can bring about Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s defeat in the Knesset and Trump’s defeat in the November elections.”
