Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan launched a very sharp attack on Iran last night during a press conference following a meeting of foreign ministers from several Arab and Muslim countries who came to Riyadh (there were ministers from Gulf countries as well as from Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Turkey).
In his remarks, he made it clear that they reserve the right to respond militarily if necessary and that any escalation by Iran will be met with escalation.
According to him, both political responses and non-political responses are possible. He noted that in light of Iran's attacks, the trust between it and the Gulf countries has been shattered and will not return to what it was.
He said that Iran's calculations are mistaken and that they are not afraid of it.
