Norway’s Foreign Ministry has confirmed that an explosion occurred on Thursday evening at the residence of the Norwegian Ambassador in Israel, located in the Tel Aviv suburb of Herzliya.

Preliminary reports indicate that a small explosive device or grenade was thrown at the property, causing material damage but no injuries. All embassy staff are reported to be safe.

Israeli authorities have launched an investigation, with police and bomb disposal units on site. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar condemned the attack and pledged that those responsible would be brought to justice.

The motive behind the incident remains unclear, but it comes amid heightened regional tensions.
