A previously unknown armed group in Syria has announced its emergence, claiming it has launched operations against Israeli targets and American military bases in the country.
The group, calling itself “The Islamic Resistance in Syria – Saraya al-Thabat,” released its first official statement declaring the start of what it described as an ongoing campaign.
In its message, the group accused the “Zionist-American enemy” of targeting not only Syria but the broader Islamic الأمة, and said it had taken up “jihad and armed struggle” in response. It claimed its operations had already begun and would continue without limitation.
However, the group provided no concrete details to support its claims—no specific targets, locations, timing, or evidence of successful attacks—making it impossible at this stage to verify the scope or credibility of its activities.
