In Syria, it is reported that Fared Mustafa took part in the Golan Heights case and collaborated with Hezbollah. In the past, he received threats from Israel for working with Hezbollah.

The Syrian news agency reports that the IDF assassination was carried out using a guided missile fired "from one of the occupation sites in the occupied Golan." 

The victim, it was reported, arrived dead at the hospital while he was "injured by shrapnel in all parts of his body that led to his death."

Syrian sources report that Mustafa is considered one of the most important figures close to the Iranian militias in the region, he has worked with a group of traffickers and drug promoters for the benefit of these militias.
