Both Prime Minister Netanyahu and Prime Minister al-Thani accepted Trump’s proposal to establish a trilateral mechanism to improve coordination, address grievances, and strengthen joint efforts against regional threats.

As a first step, Netanyahu expressed deep regret over an Israeli strike on Hamas targets in Qatar that inadvertently killed a Qatari soldier and over a previous violation of Qatari sovereignty during hostage negotiations. 

He pledged that Israel would not repeat such actions.
