23 New Officers Join the IDF Aerial Defense Array

The Aerial Defense Array is an operational array whose task is to defend the Israeli home front and the strategic assets of the State of Israel in the face of various threats. The array does so in order to maintain the functionality of the IDF in routine and emergency scenarios.

As part of the course, the cadets studied in the Ballistic Image Management Center and were trained following the array’s four aerial defense systems: Iron Dome, David's Sling, Arrow, and Yahalom. The cadets also studied and specialized in the process of interception and experimented with deploying the array’s batteries in various scenarios. The officers will join the Aerial Defense Array following the conclusion of the course.

The ceremony was led by the IAF’s Chief of Air Staff, Brig. Gen. Eyal Grinboim, the Commanding Officer, Brig. Gen. Gilad Biran, & the Commandant of the Training School, Col. Kobi Regev
