Morocco: 55% of the e-visa recipients were Israelis

A report published by the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed that 55% of the visa buyers from the electronic system since its launch last year, on July 10, 2022, were Israelis who came to visit the country - as reported by the Iranian news agency "Noor News" on its Hebrew language news site.

According to the report, since the launch of the electronic visa acceptance system, 110 nationalities from all continents have benefited from this procedure, thanks to the simplification of its acceptance procedures. The distribution of the "electronic visas" issued by nationality is as follows: Israel (55 percent), India (10 percent), Nigeria (4.44 percent), Egypt (4.41 percent), Pakistan (3.5 percent) and Jordan (2.7 percent).

Many foreign nationals subject to this procedure benefit from the e-visa based on their nationality, especially citizens of Thailand, Jordan, Israel, India, Azerbaijan and Guatemala.

It is worth noting that the new electronic visa is a permit for one person to enter Morocco and stay there for a short period (30 days at most), and its validity reaches up to 180 days at the most, starting from the date of its issuance.
