Fear is growing in Lebanon of a full-scale war with Israel: in recent hours (Saturday) a report was circulated on social media by a reporter from the Lebanese Al-Manar network, affiliated with the terrorist organization Hezbollah, allegedly quoting the media in Israel, according to which the Netanyahu government will declare war with Lebanon within hours.
"It seems that zero hour has begun and the decision to enter the war has been made," it said.
Such a report is not known in Israel, but the warnings in the Arab media cause great concern in Lebanon.
In the meantime, the head of the Hezbollah faction in the Lebanese parliament, Mohammad Raed, warns Israel this morning lest it make a mistake in its assessments and turn to attack Lebanon. During a memorial service for one of Hezbollah's victims in the town of Nabatiya in southern Lebanon, Raed stated that Lebanon's security is above all else, and that Hezbollah is well prepared for war, and if until now Israel has felt only the partial power of the organization, then in an all-out war, "it will taste the extension of its arm."
Earlier, the shooting towards the north resumed after alarms were activated in the settlement of Shlomi in the Western Galilee. Apparently a fall was detected in an open area, so far no injuries or damage have been reported.
Later, an alert was activated in Dafna, Gosher, Ajjar, Kibbutz Dan, Shaar Yishuv, for fear of hostile aircraft infiltration. The renewal of firing comes after last night at least four Hezbollah terrorists were killed in IDF strikes in the town of Beit Leaf in southern Lebanon.
Throughout the evening, a large number of alarms were heard in the northern region. The alarms were heard in the settlements of Arab al Aramsha, Adamit, Zerait and Shomara.
The IDF spokesman responded to the sequence of events: "IDF fighter jets attacked two operational infrastructures where the operatives of the terrorist organization Hezbollah were in the area of the village Beit Leif and a military structure in the area of the village of Deir Amas in southern Lebanon," it said.
