Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke today at the inauguration of the newly named Road 60 — “The Bible Route” — in Gush Etzion, declaring that Israel’s return to its historic homeland is permanent.
Standing between Jerusalem and Hebron, Netanyahu said the road is not merely asphalt, but “a path paved with memory, faith and promise.” He said Road 60 connects the generations of the Bible to the soldiers of the IDF and reflects the renewal of Jewish national life in the ancestral homeland.
Netanyahu also addressed Israel’s security challenges, saying Israel had achieved major victories against Iran and its proxies in the war.
He said Israel prevented Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, struck the “axis of evil,” holds more than 60 percent of Gaza, and has pushed Hezbollah’s invasion threat away from northern communities.
