In Lebanon, yesterday a complaint was submitted to the Attorney General for "treason" and violation of Lebanese sovereignty following the signing of the border demarcation agreement with Israel. The lawsuit was filed by a group of lawyers, academics and experts in various fields in Lebanon.
Dr. Issam Khalifa, a member of the "Association for the Protection of Maritime and Land Rights of Lebanon" explained that whoever signed the agreement with Israel "gave up sovereignty and state rights, violated international law and the national charter."
Khalifa explained that the agreement based on On line 23 instead of line 29 from the head of the Nakra supported by the army caused Lebanon to lose 1430 square kilometers and "billions of dollars".
There was no response from the General Prosecutor's Office and it is likely that in the end nothing will happen.
