PA prohibits protests against the cost of living

The Palestinian Authority is using an iron fist against anyone trying to protest the cost of living. Authorities in Hebron raided a protest tent set up by the "Want to Live" movement early in the morning, arrested a number of activists and banned any demonstration there.
Yesterday, activists of the movement organized a protest against the rise in prices in Ibn Rushd Square in central Hebron, and set up a permanent protest tent before they were forcibly dispersed. A response is already forming on social media and calls are being made for a protest demonstration calling for the release of the detainees from the night, whose number is estimated at about 20.
According to the protest leaders, their demand is simple - lowering food prices.
