During a briefing for foreign reporters delivered by Deputy Foreign Minister Sharan Haskel, Haskel brought up a letter that the Foreign Minister sent to the President of the UN Security Council
The letter demands that the UNSC must urgently convene and condemn the Houthis for their terrorist acts, as well as Iran for the ongoing support and armament it provides to the Houthis.
Deputy Foreign Minister Sharan Haskel: "We must put an end to the Houthi attacks. For about a year we have been suffering missile and drone attacks, with one of the latest attacks leading to a number of injuries and the destruction of an elementary school where a disaster was miraculously averted.
Enough is enough! The Houthis are endangering the entire international community with their terrorist acts in the Red Sea shipping lanes, and are spreading chaos* Israel will continue to protect its citizens from any threat."
