Exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi sharply rebukes a BBC reporter, accusing the network of bias and defending his outreach to Iranians worldwide.
In a widely shared exchange, exiled Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi pushed back against a question from a correspondent representing the BBC, who asked why he had not managed to unite “all Iranians.”
Pahlavi responded that the question itself reflected a familiar narrative, telling the reporter: “This is a very typical question that I expect from the network you represent.”
He went on to criticize what he described as the outlet’s long-standing posture toward Iran’s opposition, at one point referring to it sarcastically as “Ayatollah BBC.” The moment quickly circulated online, with supporters praising what they called a forceful defense against what they view as media bias.
