"Yesterday, during the Sabbath, the Government of Cyprus asked for our assistance to put out the extensive forest fires there. Last night, we approved sending two firefighting planes to Cyprus, together with materials and equipment that will help them control the fires.

 

Cyprus is a great friend to Israel, and we stand beside the Cypriots. The assistance was swiftly organized through the cooperation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister for Internal Security and the Prime Minister's Office.

 

This is the government's way: everything happens quickly, with rapid coordination, with a fast shift from decision to execution. This is a functioning government that works well and we intend to continue on this path."
