For 18 days now, the PA security mechanisms (Fatah) have been operating against the armed terrorist groups in the Jenin camp (mainly Islamic Jihad and Hamas).
They have arrested dozens of wanted individuals and eliminated 2 terrorists. The PA has suffered a heavy price: 2 dead and over 10 wounded. Armored vehicles have been rendered useless.
This morning, the situation there escalated, and for the first time, the two sides are beginning to use possible "tie-breaking" means – the PA, with Israeli permission, is using RPG missiles, and the terrorists are presenting a suicide squad, ready to blow themselves up as soon as the PA reaches where they are and deepens its control.
The PA is unable to deal with the armed terrorist groups. It is not working and will not work. It is estimated that it will not be able to conquer the hard core of terrorism in Jenin and especially in the refugee camp in the city, in addition to the camp it will have to deal with about 1000 additional armed terrorists in the rural area of Jenin, this is a move that is destined to fail from the start, from now on the situation may only worsen the situation of the PA, which is already in a bad state.
