A literary career of more than 60 years ended with the death of AB. Joshua at the age of 85. Joshua, who left behind three children, wrote dozens of bestsellers, some of which also became plays and films and won many awards in Israel and around the world.
Joshua's works have won many awards in Israel, including the Brenner Prize, the Bialik Prize, the Best Novel Prize (for "Mr. Mani"), and the Israel Prize for Literature in 1995. Abroad, Joshua won the Cavour Prize and the Pliano Prize in Italy, and the Korach Prize in the United States. Joshua's books have been translated into dozens of languages, and he has twice won the National Jewish Book Award in the United States for his books "Molcho" and "Mr. Money."
