With up to 40 million NIS in government funding, the new lab aims to make space tech more accessible to Israeli companies and position the country as a global innovation leader.
Israel is aiming high with a bold new move in the space tech sector: The Israel Innovation Authority and the Israel Space Agency have announced the launch of a public call for proposals to establish or make accessible a national laboratory for launching space technologies.
The initiative is designed to open the field to Israeli companies and position the country as a leading player in the rapidly evolving global space arena.
The new lab, which will be established with a government investment of up to 40 million shekels, will for the first time offer comprehensive services under one roof—from the development, design, and integration of dedicated payloads to their launch into space and the analysis of collected data. This will enable Israeli companies, both large and small, to demonstrate their capabilities in real space conditions, with at least a 35% discount on market launch prices.
