BREAKING: Iran begins evacuation

The New York Times reports: Iran has begun evacuating officials and military personnel from Syria due to the rebel attack.

According to senior officials who spoke with the newspaper, the evacuation of senior officials from Iran is a sign of Iran's inability to help keep Assad in power.

Among other things, the senior commanders of the Iranian Quds Force in Syria also evacuated to Iraq or Lebanon and began evacuating Revolutionary Guard bases.

The people of the Iranian embassy in Damascus also started leaving Syria yesterday, some by plane to Tehran and some by land to the neighboring countries.
