Deir Ezzor province: Unidentified people, believed to belong to ISIS, hanged leaflets calling the women to commit to wearing the Hijab in the correct way, near Al-Tawhid Mosque in Al-Shahil town eastern of Deir Ezzor.
The leaflets included conditions for wearing the Hijab: “The Hijab should be thick to not reveal what is underneath it, wide and not tight, not as decoration for attention, not a sign of fame and fragrant should not be added to it.”
The leaflets also included threats to those not wearing the religious clothes.
On May 18, ISIS cells hanged leaflets at the doors of the mosques of Al-Basera town within SDF-held areas in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, threatening all those dealing and abusing drugs or weed, calling them to repent to God before ISIS cells punish them.
ISIS cells continued spreading terror and fear among civilians, through hanging leaflets on walls, mosques and electricity poles, threatening to kill civilians including women and men, for charges of “not paying Zakat and other charges.”
