A Hamas official revealed this morning to Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadat, on Thursday, that Hamas is formulating an agreement with the Fatah organization on civilian management of Gaza, indicating that Hamas will not supervise the border crossings
The agreement is based on the establishment of an independent civilian body (in the style of a subcontractor) whose supervision will be done jointly between the two organizations that aspire to establish a government/joint government (as it was written in the original).
The agreement is supposed to progress next week at a "reconciliation" meeting that will take place between the parties.
ERAN MALKA EXPLAINS:
This is just another exercise by the Palestinian terrorist organizations, in complete collusion by the Palestinian Authority to profit from attacking Israel on 10/7.
Israel's opposition to the management of the crossings, including by Hamas and/or the Palestinian Authority, is well known - this is a step that bypasses objections and is mainly a propaganda act intended to show the Americans that Israel is the barrier to settlement in the Gaza Strip.
