Stolen Syrian military report reveals cooperation with ISIS

A leaked military report revealed that the Syrian regime cooperated with ISIS, providing it with facilities, providing it with logistical support and securing the movements of its members between the areas under its control.

This information came from a security report found by protesters after they stormed the headquarters of the "Ba'ath Party" in the city of Shehaba in the rural area of Sweida district, last Friday, and seized all the documents it had.

The report states that members of the "Baat Brigades" militia from the "Shahba Battalion - Shaka Company - Duma Faction" are in contact and coordinating with ISIS units in the eastern desert of Sweida district.

The report confirmed that militia members provided food and electrical equipment to the organization's cells in the eastern countryside of Suwayda district.

The report also indicated that a member of the militia moved the members of the organization from the Eastern Desert to the other cities and towns of Suwayda province and from there to Damascus.

The stolen and exposed document:

The report is dated July 9, 2018, that is, 15 days before the attack launched by ISIS on villages in the eastern region of Sweida, which led to the killing of dozens of civilians.

At the time, the Syrian regime was accused of cooperating and coordinating with ISIS before the attack, as it had transferred members of the organization from the Yarmouch camp south of Damascus to this area.

The Syrian army also evacuated most of its military points three days before the attack, removed weapons from the residents of the cities that were attacked, and cut off their communications and electricity, and did not even try to deal with the attack or fight ISIS members.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time that the cooperation of the regime and ISIS has been approved, as the factions in Daraa have previously broadcast video recordings of the confessions of members of the organization in which they confirmed coordination and receiving instructions for attacks and killings of senior officers in the Syrian intelligence headquarters.
