What was discussed during Netanyahu's security assessment?

In discussions held with the Prime Minister over the weekend, there was an understanding that Hamas should not be allowed to drag out the negotiations and the ceasefire without the release of hostages.

A range of options are on the table for the near term: from cutting aid, to renewing attacks on Gaza and conducting negotiations under fire, to a full resumption of fighting.

In every scenario, except for Hamas' total surrender and the demilitarization of the Strip, Israel refuses Hamas' demand to end the war, and intends to renew it with unprecedented force, with the question being one of timing: when, not whether.
